Quality of Life

Cranberry Township has consistently appeared in Fortune Magazine's Top 10 Places to Live List.

Cranberry Business Park is a mixed-use business campus situated on approximately 180 acres in Cranberry Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. The park currently contains 13 buildings with in excess of 750,000 square feet. When completed, the park is expected to have approximately 1,000,000 square feet of developed building space.

Cranberry Business Park is approximately 20 miles northwest of downtown Pittsburgh, and about the same distance from Greater Pittsburgh Airport. The park abuts the Pennsylvania Turnpike and is approximately 1.5 miles from Exit 3 and I-79 interchanges.

The park was originally conceived by PenPower as a way to attract customers for their electricity to southern Butler County. In 1999, our partnership purchased all undeveloped land owned by PenPower, and over the next 3 years, assembled the remaining undeveloped land in the business park. A plan was developed to redirect the park with the intent to deliver a high quality, competitively priced business campus within Cranberry Township, Western Pennsylvania's fastest growing community.

Close proximity to the city of Pittsburgh and easy access to Pittsburgh International Airport coupled with top notch schools and safe neighborhoods makes Cranberry an ideal community to work and raise a family. The opportunities to enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery in the eastern United States only make the decision to live here easier.

Housing

Attractive, affordable housing has been one of the key elements in making Cranberry Township one of the region's fastest growing communities. The statistics tell the story: 59.5% growth rate over the past ten years; median household income of $44,588; and average age of 34.7. All of this within one of the region's most competitive tax municipalities.

Cranberry Township has experienced a significant growth trend since the early 1970s. Actual population figures have consistently outgrown projections. According to the 1990 census, Cranberry's population grew to 14,816 persons, up 34 percent from the 1980 census. The 2000 census identified a population in the township of 23,625, up almost 60% from 1990. And sure enough, Cranberry's growth continued during the first part of this decade, with population rising to 30,170 according to the 20014 census.
